I've yet to meet anyone who truly enjoys sitting on a stool under bright lighting and smiling on command.
That's ok, because that's not how my portrait sessions work. Before any light is turned on, any makeup is applied, and any shutter is released we will spend some time getting to know one another. It's not your job to worry how "good" you look. You are more than enough just as you are. Having one's photo taken can be a vulnerable experience. I seek to make my clients comfortable in their own skin, and confident in the work we are going to produce together.
My sessions focus on enabling others to see a side of themselves they might otherwise not have noticed before. Each of us has a story to tell, and oftentimes that story can be told in the smallest of moments captured in the blink of an eye in a single image.
