Documentary & Street Photography

I could never draw a straight line to save my life, so I grew up thinking I could never be a "real" artist.

These images have been created over the years to express something deep within me. They may not always make sense to everyone else. They may not even be that enjoyable to look at. None of that matters.

For me, they've been therapeutic, inspiring, and challenging to create. As an artist, that's all I can ever expect.

I've spent over a decade working across commercial, documentary, and street photography and filmmaking. From directing and shooting campaigns from Red Bull to Ritz-Carlton, to standing at the front line of the first George Floyd protest to erupt in the US in May of 2020. The range doesn't happen by accident. I can't help but search for deeper meaning in my work. That forces me to try new things and explore new ways to tell the stories that exist in our big, beautiful world. My one guiding instinct is to always be on the lookout for the frame that compels the viewer to stop and consider what's in front of them.

My consistency across contexts is what I bring to every project. I have an ability to read a scene, move inside it, and come back with something that carries weight. I don't just document what happened. I look for what it meant.
